Everything is ready for this year’s “special” edition of the Gran Trail Trangoworld Aneto-Posets with more than 2.000 runners expected this weekend in Benasque (Huesca).

2.000 runners are expected for the three “big” races that form the Gran Trail Trangoworld Aneto-Posetsthis year. 300 runners in the Gran Trail Aneto-Posets, 800 for the Vuelta al Aneto, 1.000 for the Maratón de las Tucas. All of them will enjoy a weekend of trail running and alpine racing in a unique setting such as the Valley of Benasque.
Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Vuelta al Pico Cerler and the Vuelta al Molino Cerler will not take part this year and the star/finish line moves from Avenida de los Tilos to the sports area and football ground nearby. The prize giving ceremony will be on Sunday in Avenida de los Tilos.
Distances and heights of the 3 races vary from 105 kilometres and 6.760 meters of altitude of the Gran Trail to the 42 kilometres and 2.500 meters of elevation gain of the Maratón de las Tucas. The Vuelta al Aneto will have 55 kilometres with 3.630 meters. The start of the 3 races are scheduled for Friday 21rd. at 12 pm for Gran Trail, Saturday at 7 and 9 in the morning for the Vuelta al Aneto and the Maraton de las Tucas respectively.
We highlight the participation of our runners, Raul García-Castán, five times Champion of Spain and European Champion in 2009, two Spanish Cups, one runner-up in the World Cup…; and David Prades, winner this year of the PDA Aran by UTMB and the Transgrancanaria Advanced at the beginning of the year.
