COMMITMENT

COMMITMENT TO THE PRESENT

The development of the TRANGOWORLD philosophy leads us to two fundamental commitments. The first, to the present, to the world we live in, to today’s generations, to the environment and to people, through:

  • Belonging to the European Outdoor Group and its task – among others – of coordinating and promoting responsible work practice within the Outdoor industry.
  • Underscoring the value of Corporate Social Responsibility at TRANGOWORLD, and working with suppliers who hold certifications:
    • BSCI, whose objective is to provide companies with the best system to improve work conditions in the global supply chain.
    • WRAP, whose objective as an independent body is to help clothing and shoe factories around the world to ensure that they are operating in compliance with the local laws and the internationally accepted standards of ethical practices in work.
    • FWF, whose objective as an independent organization is to work with companies and factories to improve the labour conditions of garment workers.
    • Associate suppliers, certified by the International Down and Feather Bureau, whose objective is to guarantee the consumers that the down and feather used in its products are pure, hygienic and that they are derived as by-products of the food industry.
  • Team Resetcardio whose objective is to fight against sudden death of the popular athlete by raising awareness, training and prevention of this disease, with special attention to mountain runners.

LET'S TAKE CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

  • ECOLOGICAL

In this product range Trangoworld shows its concern for the care of the environment. The products with the ECOLOGICAL/RECYCLED hang tag have been developed from natural or recycled materials. To reinforce our compromise, Trangoworld also promotes initiatives and projects related to the environment protection and care as stated in our Commitment number 2, to the future, to our children and descendants and the world we will leave them. We extend and generalize in our products the use of materials that are not harmful to the environment. Organic Cotton, Tencel®, PFC Free DWR (C0)… as well as the anti-bacterial Polygiene® and HEIQ FRESH Technology and the Bluesign® standard in the majority of our products.

  • BLUESIGN®

The materials (fabrics and accessories) of our products with the Bluesign® label comply with the strictest environmental standards. We have the mission to ensure that every year more products comply with this requirement, and thus eliminate harmful substances from our garments not only for health, but for the environment.

COMMITMENT TO THE FUTURE

With our children, with our descendants and the world that we leave to them, through maximum respect for the sustainability of our industrial activities and the conservation of our environment through:

  • Certified Bluesign® suppliers that ensure that the entire production chain only contains and only passes through processes that are inoffensive for people and the environment.
  • Use of water repellency treatments (DWR) C0, which is much eco-friendlier, following the recommendations of REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals).
  • Use of nylon and polyester recycled certified Bluesign®.
  • Use of the Polygiene® HeiQ Fresh and HeiQ Pure treatments that inhibits the growth of bacteria that provoke the development of smells in the fabrics, making it possible to reduce the number of washes of the garments.
  • Responsible campaigns such as "For a Clean Environment", "Renew and Recycle".
  • Use of recycled paper and water-based inks for printing and manufacture of the bags provided to our customers for the sale, as well as for the making of catalogues and work books. In the making of the latter, 100% chlorine-free ecological paper has been used certified FSC and PEFC, which guarantee that the cellulose paste is obtained from Wood from controlled and sustainably managed forests and for their printing vegetable oil -based inks have been used.
  • Foundation for the Conservation of the Bearded Vulture that promotes and develops projects of conservation, management, research, rural development and awareness.
