I was born in Madrid and grew up in Moralzarzal, a village I will always carry in my heart. I grew up there with my older brother Alejandro and my parents, Eli and Merche. I have been involved in sport from a very young age — I started with triathlon and athletics at 5, until at 11 I joined the Madrid ski mountaineering performance school, where I discovered a discipline that would become a fundamental part of my life.
Much of that love for the mountains I owe to my parents, who instilled in me from the start the core values of the mountain: respect, effort and consistency. From an early age they took me to explore the Sierra de Madrid and the Picos de Europa, especially during summers at our house in Potes, in Liébana. Thanks to that upbringing and all those experiences, I have developed a deep and inexplicable love for the mountains and for sport — things that today are part of who I am.
Over time I understood that sport was not just an activity, but something that truly made me happy. Going out to train, whether running in the mountains or heading to the local sports centre, was always the best part of the day. Today sport remains one of the pillars of my life and a tool that has helped me grow as a person too.
For me the mountains have always meant a place of peace, disconnection and freedom. It is where I feel most myself, where I learn every day and where I find balance — both physical and mental.
I am currently studying Medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid, trying to balance a demanding degree with high-level sport, which often requires me to train or compete far from home. When I am not studying or training, I love spending time with my family and friends, and travelling whenever I can.

Overall Spanish Cup winner under-18 and Spanish Sprint runner-up
Spanish KV trail runner-up 2024

In recent years I have had the opportunity to live some very special sporting experiences in ski mountaineering. One of my greatest achievements was finishing third in a Skimo World Cup event (Sprint category) in the under-18 category, held in Crévacol (Italy) in December 2024. I have also achieved a top 10 at the World Championships in the same discipline and won several medals at the 2026 ISMF European Ski Mountaineering Championships.
I feel fortunate not just for these results — it has meant a great deal to me to earn these places, to represent Spain in international competitions, to meet athletes from all over the world and to live unique experiences in the mountains.
My greatest personal achievements have been learning not to give up, to be consistent, self-demanding and to trust in myself even in difficult moments. Balancing a demanding degree with high-level sport has taught me to organise myself, to value daily effort and to enjoy the journey, beyond results.
My goals are to qualify for as many international events as possible — including World Cups, European Championships and World Championships — representing Spain and giving my very best. I also hope to compete during the summer season in some mountain races where, as well as being competitive, I would like to enjoy the mountains and the landscapes around me, since enjoying the journey is something I sometimes forget and it is important to remember.
When I head into the mountains, I always bring… My phone to stay connected, something to drink and something to eat.
If I wanted to get someone hooked on the outdoors, I'd take them to… The Picos de Europa.
When I'm not in the mountains, I'm… Studying to pass my Medicine exams, or enjoying a trip with friends or family.
The most important thing I've learned through the mountains is… Not to give up, and to fight and work hard for your dreams.
The landscape or moment in the mountains I'll never forget is… A sunrise during a training session in the Picos de Europa, surrounded by silence.
