"Push your limits, respect the mountain, and keep moving forward"

Who I Am

I was born in Barcelona, although I’ve never lived in the same place for more than two or three consecutive years. I grew up mainly alongside my twin brother. We’ve always practiced sports together, sharing the same motivation and drive to improve, training side by side, facing challenges, and learning from each other.

My sporting journey began at 16 with football. Later, around the age of 20, I discovered cycling through watching it on television and through people around me. At 24, I started running my first kilometers, and little by little trail running took over until it became more than just a sport — it became a lifestyle.

My passion for the mountains developed gradually, first on the bike and later on foot. Over time, I understood that consistency, daily contact with the environment, and respect for the mountains were the foundation for continuous growth.

Today, I’m fortunate to dedicate myself mainly to running. I combine it with a part-time job at a mountain hostel in the Val d’Aran, where I work five to six months a year, both in winter and summer seasons.

My Journey

The moment I truly became aware of the importance of sport in my life was when I began structuring my training, goals, and seasons, understanding that performance is not immediate but the result of consistent work. Gradually, small results started to come, confirming that I was on the right path.

I don’t see sporting success as a single result. My greatest achievement is steady improvement year after year — both physically and mentally — and the opportunity to keep discovering new places to run or ski. A few years ago, I couldn’t afford to run beyond my city; today I have the chance to travel, train, and compete in different mountain environments, something I deeply value.

My goal is to keep running and focus one hundred percent on long-distance races — even if my knees sometimes think otherwise and would prefer shorter distances…

For me, the mountains represent challenge, respect, and continuous learning. They are the environment where I test my physical and mental limits — always with respect.

My Outdoor Essence

When I head to the mountains, I always bring… A ribbon tied around each ankle from the Virgen del Pilar of Zaragoza — so I know my legs will carry me safely back home.

If I wanted to introduce someone to the outdoors, I would take them to… The Val d’Aran, so they could truly see what the mountains are. I’m sure they would want to return.

When I’m not in the mountains, I’m… Doing some kind of sport. I don’t know how to stay still…

The most important thing the mountains have taught me is… That with consistency and perseverance, everything comes. Everything is a process — sometimes slower, sometimes faster.

A landscape or moment in the mountains I’ll never forget… I could mention a beautiful one… but I feel that we often remember the tough moments most — the ones that mark a turning point. Of those, I clearly remember a couple of ski mountaineering experiences when I realized the danger of losing respect for the mountains.
