"If you like it, do it. And if it’s in the mountains, even better. There’s no need to take risks… it’s about enjoying, walking without hurry, and breathing deeply"

Who I Am

I was born in Cariñena (Zaragoza) in 1975 and grew up there until I was 18, when I moved to Zaragoza to study Marketing, Advertising, and Public Relations. I’ve lived there ever since, although the mountains have always been my true home.

I started walking in the mountains at just eight years old. At first, it was a game — no pressure, no goals — simply the joy of discovering. Over time, those outings became a way of life. In 2009, I took a decisive step by combining my passion with my profession: directing and presenting a hiking program on Aragón TV, which now has more than 450 episodes, 34 seasons, and 16 years on air.

My relationship with the mountains began almost unconsciously, but it grew through conviction. The instructors at my early summer camps taught me to see the environment differently — to appreciate silence, calm, and adventure. In 2010, trail running entered my life as another way of experiencing the same terrain: the same landscape, just at a different pace.

Today, I work in television and communication, which takes up most of my time. But on weekends — if I’m not working as a speaker at a trail race — you’ll find me exploring the trails of Aragón, the land I know best and love most.

Working in Your Passion

Working in what you love is essential to maintaining an unbreakable bond with the mountains.

Active Mountain Life

I enjoy an active mountain experience — one focused on enjoyment, without extreme challenges or ambitious goals.

Hiking & Trail

Walking or running… hiking or trail… the pace changes, but the terrain doesn’t.

Mountain Safety

I care deeply about safety in the mountains and actively participate in campaigns promoting responsibility.

Speaker

I work as a speaker at more than a dozen trail running events each year.

My Journey

I’ve lived many intense moments in the mountains, but rather than achievements, I see them as personal experiences. Finishing a 102-kilometer ultra with 6,100 meters of elevation gain in 2015 or reaching the 4,167 meters of Mount Toubkal were challenges that taught me a lot — but I don’t consider them sporting successes. What mattered wasn’t the result, but what they represented on a personal level: growth, calm, and fulfillment.

If I had to name a true success, it would be my children. Being able to share nature with them, teaching them to love and respect the mountains, and seeing them enjoy their first summit was an emotion beyond words.

My medium- and long-term goals are simple yet essential: to continue sharing passion and respect for the mountains through television, helping more people discover and enjoy them responsibly.

For me, the mountains mean peace, calm, reflection, and experience. They help me think, put things into perspective, and apply what I learn up there to everyday life: solving problems, valuing effort, enjoying the process. They are my point of balance — the place where everything makes sense.

My Outdoor Essence

When I head to the mountains, I always bring… Common sense, respect, careful planning, and the determination not to blink and miss a single detail. Proper equipment — adapted to each season — is just as important as the responsibility with which I set out.

If I wanted to introduce someone to the outdoors, I would take them to… Less-traveled corners with minimal human presence. Teruel is full of such places: authentic, silent, and beautifully untouched.

When I’m not in the mountains, I’m… Working in communication — though I always try to stay close to nature whenever I can.

The most important thing the mountains have taught me is… That effort and sacrifice always bring rewards.

A landscape or moment in the mountains I will never forget… The first mountain I climbed with my two children. A modest summit, but with immense emotional value.
