I was born in Terrassa, but I grew up in the Pyrenees, surrounded by family, friends, and nature. My childhood was shaped by days spent outdoors with my parents and my brother, discovering mountains, rivers, and forests. That connection to nature always stayed with me, but at 15, when I put on a harness for the first time, everything changed: I started climbing — and that opened Pandora’s box.
From the very beginning, I felt a special attraction to the vertical world. I started with a friend, David, with whom I still share adventures and unforgettable moments in the mountains years later. When I came of age, I worked in an office. But one day, sitting in front of a computer, I felt nature calling me again — the need to return to my roots. That led me to leave the city and settle in Alquézar, where I turned my passion into my profession: mountain and canyon guide. Since then, my life unfolds outdoors, constantly in motion, among mountains, rivers, ice, and rock.

A crazy canyoning adventure in La Réunion (France) in 2008.
Opening “Madre Tierra,” an extreme mountaineering route in the Dolomites in 2020.
Opening two new routes on two 6,000m+ peaks in Nepal in 2016.
Two months in 2022 climbing extreme ice and mixed routes in the Rocky Mountains, Canada.

The mountains are not just my job — they are my life. I spend most of the year in them, whether climbing, mountaineering, skiing, or exploring canyons. I love moving, discovering new places, and experiencing nature in its wildest state.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of living great expeditions and ascents in remote places around the world: from Pyrenean ridges to Patagonian walls, the Andes, and the Himalayas. All of them represent what I value most: exploratory mountaineering — without artifices, without crowds, without a stopwatch.
I continue to seek difficult and technical routes in little-frequented mountains that demand commitment. Commercial mountaineering and crowded classic routes don’t attract me. What motivates me is the unknown, authentic adventure — that blend of uncertainty and discovery that only the mountains can offer.
The mountains give me freedom. In a society increasingly dominated by screens, noise, and artificial images, I find silence, balance, and the essence of who we are. It is my home, my refuge, and the place where I feel part of something greater.

When I head to the mountains, I always bring… Happiness, chocolate, and nuts.
If I wanted to introduce someone to the outdoors, I would take them to… It depends on the person, but I would always seek for them to feel the purity of nature, discover their limits, and face the emotion of the unknown.
When I’m not in the mountains, I’m… Climbing or skiing. The mountains are part of every single day of my life.
The most important thing the mountains have taught me is… Respect for the environment and for nature. Everything we have depends on it.
A mountain moment I will never forget… Descending the Trou d’Enfer canyon on La Réunion Island — a unique experience because of the power and beauty of the surroundings. And the Circo de los Altares in Patagonia, with Cerro Torre rising in the background. That place has a special energy; the feeling of isolation on the continental ice is indescribable.
